Gareth Birch

Managing Director

Gareth Birch joined Jardine Lloyd Thompson in 1997 and is responsible for JLT Leisure, the companys specialist caravan insurance division, which operates the Compass Scheme.

Operating out of JLTs Gloucester office Gareth is responsible for a team of over 60 people who between them have consistently provided the highest level of service to the UK holiday and residential park home industry for nearly 30 years.

Gareth was the Compass account executive responsible for Northumberland, Yorkshire and Lincolnshire between 1997 and 2005 prior to a move to JLTs office in Gloucester. In October 2006 he was appointed Managing Director. He has in-depth knowledge of both the parks and insurance industry and has constantly demonstrated his expertise throughout his 11-year career with JLT.

Recently for instance Gareth was instrumental in renegotiations with insurers, which have led to the provision of options to provide flood cover for those parks devastated by flooding in June and July 2007. These achievements illustrate that Gareth has become a key figure within the park industry and a voice of authority as he continually works for the interests of the Parks Industry.
